Nabo, an Old Norse, Danish, and Norwegian word meaning neighbor, symbolizes community, connection, and the way individuals and nations interact.
The exhibition is based on MUCF’s (the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society) four-year project on the social inclusion of young people. Visit Nabo Art Book showcases works by eight Nordic illustrators, each capturing the voices and surroundings of young people across the Nordic Region. Their illustrations vividly depict the highs and lows of youth – joy and monotony, anxiety and optimism, frustration and resilience. But most importantly, they highlight a fundamental truth: everyone deserves to be heard.
The Visit Nabo Art Book exhibition in Kaunas is part of the Scandinavian Days programme and is organised in collaboration with the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Lithuania, the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society (MUCF), Kaunas Municipality, and the Vincas Kudirka Public Library.
The exhibition will be open until 4 May.
