“Cooperation between the Nordic and Baltic countries is founded on unity and shared values. This serves as a foundation for our goal of achieving deeper integration within the NB8 framework, connecting our nations not only in foreign affairs and defense, but also in areas such as societal resilience to information threats, crisis preparedness, and the promotion of civic engagement,” underlined Minister Budrys.
According to O. A. Lindeman, through its office in Lithuania, the Nordic Council of Ministers plays a meaningful role in enhancing the NB8 cooperation format by bringing together Lithuanian and Nordic institutions as well as civil society organisations for joint projects and knowledge exchange.
„One of our key priorities today is to strengthen societal security by promoting preparedness, resilience, and civic engagement,” he emphasised.
