Quarantine was introduced at midnight on March 16, Monday to slow down the spread of the coronavirus. Quarantine measures are valid until April 13. Quarantine measures could be prolonged.
Once the quarantine is in place, Lithuanian citizens, with some exceptions, will be banned from leaving the country, and foreigners will be banned from entering the country. Arrival of foreign nationals in the Republic of Lithuania is prohibited, except for drivers and members of crews in case of commercial and/or international carriage of goods; residents of the Republic of Lithuania, diplomats, and military personnel of military units of NATO and NATO countries, their staff and members of their families.
EVENTS: All events of the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Lithuania planned before end of May, are canceled.
OFFICE WORK: The Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Lithuania is closed to visitors during the quarantine period. Office workers will perform all their functions from home.

- If you have been awarded funding from one of Nordic or Nordic-Baltic funding programmes for Culture and you are unable to complete your planned activities in accordance with your agreed schedule due to the coronavirus, you can log in to the application portal and apply for an amendment using the correspondence function. You have our complete understanding in respect of amendments, and we will process any requests on a case-by-case basis.
- Deadline for the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration has been postponed to 30 May 2020.
- Deadline for the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Grant Programme for Nordic-Baltic NGO Cooperation has been postponed to 31 May 2020.
