Objective
To reduce the digital divide and strengthen inclusive digital participation through intergenerational mentorship.
Context
The project builds on “Bridging the Digital Gap Through Reverse Mentorship”, which developed and piloted a Nordic-Baltic youth-to-senior mentorship methodology in Lithuania. The first phase engaged 50+ organisations, supported 340+ older adults, and trained 200+ young mentors. IT Mentorship 2.0 shifts from pilot to scale, expanding the model to Finland, the Faroe Islands and further in Lithuania, while introducing cross-country adaptation and structured knowledge exchange. The project aligns with MR-Digital priorities on inclusion, human-centric digitalisation and resilience.
Goals
- Scale and adapt the mentorship model across Nordic–Baltic contexts
- Improve digital skills and confidence among older adults
- Strengthen youth competencies, including teaching and leadership
- Build partnerships between NGOs, public institutions and communities
- Generate practical insights for wider adoption and policy alignment
Activities
- Adaptation of the mentorship framework to different country contexts
- Implementation of intergenerational mentoring programmes
- Capacity-building for organisations and mentors
- Monitoring, evaluation and collection of comparable data
- Knowledge exchange and dissemination across the region
